Admit it, we're all attracted to some kind of shiny objects. Mine include chrome and a slick paintjob, although I might be bribed with jewelry. maybe. DEFinately with a new shiny bit and fancy spurs.....
After spending so much time drawing furry objects, I realized all my favorite colors were still unused. Incidentally, I had attended Radnor Hunt Concours d'Elegance expecting it to be a horse show. But instead I found lotsa nice shiny cars, started snapping pictures, had a mad craving to draw the MG, and thus discovered I had a whole new subject matter.
Childhood memories of being dragged around car shows came to mind, as an adult I realized my tastes had changed, now carshows werent so bad anymore.
Your bike really doesn't care if you leave the toilet seat up, or even if you use it at all. It's completely understandable why guys love their wheels. And ladies completely understand the whole "boys and their toys" thing, no matter what their age.
I've just finished my first bike commission, and nothing really warms the heart of a dude than a portrait of their most beloved. Just saying, hint hint hint.
